Blur every face in a video except the people you pick. Anonimo for iPhone.
Anonimo (Face Blur for Video: Anonimo on the App Store) finds every face in your video, groups them by person, and hides everyone except the people you tap: with pixelation, blur or an emoji that follows the face. It runs on your iPhone, offline. The video never leaves the phone.
Free for videos up to 30 seconds. Pro: $9.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $14.99 once. iPhone, iOS 17 or later.

Privacy: what leaves your iPhone
Nothing. Anonimo was built around one rule: your content never leaves your device.
- Face detection runs on the device, with Apple's Vision framework and an ArcFace model bundled in the app.
- No servers, no cloud storage, no uploads. The app has no code that sends media anywhere.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
- No account. Open the app and start.
- No internet needed. It works in Airplane Mode. The internet is only used to buy Pro through the App Store.
- Purchases go through Apple. We receive an anonymous receipt, never your name, email or card.
What it does not do
- Free exports are limited to 30 seconds at 720p, with a small watermark. Pro removes these limits.
- iPhone only, iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version and no iPad layout.
- The blur, mosaic or emoji is burned into the pixels of the exported video. It is not a sticker that can be peeled off, and the original stays untouched in your library.
- We do not claim the blur is irreversible or forensic-proof. Pixelation and blur hide a face from people and ordinary software; keep the original private if that matters to you.
- A face that turns fully away is covered by a body-based head estimate, which can sit a little off. Check the export before you publish, as with any tool.
- It hides faces, not voices, names, tattoos or the place you filmed. Blurring is one step in anonymising a video, not the whole job.
- The app's interface is in 10 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Japanese and Korean.

Questions people ask
What is the best app to blur faces in a video on iPhone?
If you want faces found and blurred automatically, with the option to keep some people visible, Anonimo does that on the iPhone itself and is free for videos up to 30 seconds. If you need a full editor as well, CapCut can blur a face by hand; if the video is going to YouTube anyway, YouTube Studio has a free blur tool that works after upload.
How do I hide other kids' faces in a video before posting it?
Open the video in Anonimo, wait for it to group the faces by person, and tap your own child so they stay visible; every other face is covered in every frame. Parents often pick the emoji cover, which looks friendlier than a blur on a children's video.
Is there a face blur app that works offline and does not upload my video?
Yes. Anonimo runs face detection and blurring on the iPhone, works in Airplane Mode, and has no code that uploads media. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
Can an app blur everyone in a video except one person?
Yes. Anonimo groups the faces it finds by person, so you tap the one person who stays visible and everyone else is hidden across the whole video, not frame by frame.
Is there a Kloak alternative without a weekly subscription?
Anonimo is free for videos up to 30 seconds, and Pro is $9.99 a year or $14.99 once; there is no weekly plan. Both apps find faces on the device and let you keep chosen people visible; Kloak also runs on Android and has more cover styles, Anonimo works from iOS 17 and costs less. The comparison page has the table.
How do I blur strangers in my vlog on iPhone without CapCut?
Anonimo finds every face in the clip and groups them by person; tap yourself and anyone else you have permission from, and the strangers are blurred automatically. In CapCut you would mask and keyframe each face by hand.
Can I pixelate faces in a protest video and keep it on my device?
Yes. Anonimo pixelates every face on the iPhone, and the video is never uploaded. Pixelation is in the free tier; keep the unblurred original private, and remember that clothing, voices and the location can still identify people.
How do I blur faces in a video for GDPR before sharing it with clients?
Blur every face you have no consent for and export at full resolution with Anonimo Pro, then share only the blurred file. Under the GDPR a recognisable face is personal data; a blurred face usually is not, but names, voices and context in the video can still be.
Who makes Anonimo?
nakolini, a two-person studio: Vitalii Kikot and Dmytro Hryb. We also make Prospekt, a lens simulator, and Expenny, a family budget tracker. The App Store seller is Vitalii Kikot.
Does Anonimo work on photos?
Yes. It opens JPEG, PNG and HEIC photos, finds the faces, and lets you resize, reshape or drag each cover before saving. You can also blur a photo for free on this website, in your browser.
Can I cancel the subscription, and how do I restore a purchase?
Cancel in iOS Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Anonimo, at least 24 hours before the period ends. To restore Pro on a new iPhone, open the paywall in Anonimo and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID.
Will it find every face?
Frontal and angled faces, yes. Very small, heavily covered or fully turned faces are harder; the app covers turned heads with a body-based estimate and a face it never detects stays visible. Review the export before publishing.
Which videos does it support?
Any standard iPhone video (H.264 or HEVC) up to 4K, portrait or landscape, and photos in JPEG, PNG and HEIC. Exports use HEVC to keep the original quality.
