Anonimo vs CapCut

Both hide faces in video. This page says where each one is better, with the facts checked on 2026-10-16 against each product's official pages. A cell says "not stated" when the official page does not say.

Who should pick which

Pick CapCut if you are editing the video anyway and have one or two faces to hide: its blur is a mask over a blurred overlay that you keyframe by hand, and it lives in a full editor.

Pick Anonimo if there are many faces, if the people move, or if the footage must not be uploaded: detection is automatic, each person is one tap, and it runs offline on the iPhone. Then edit the blurred clip in CapCut if you like.

Questions

Can CapCut blur faces automatically?

Its dependable method is manual masking with keyframes. Check the current version for an automatic option and whether it runs in the cloud.

Is CapCut free?

CapCut has a free tier and a Pro subscription; the table links its official pricing. Anonimo is free up to 30 seconds, then $9.99 a year or $14.99 once.

Can I use both?

Yes: blur in Anonimo first, export to Photos, then cut and caption the blurred clip in CapCut.
